Places that give me Joy

These are the places that give me joy.  We have been creating these special effects pictures for 2 weeks. Mrs VK and Miss Paton took pictures of us taking posing, it was fun. We were removing our back rounds using remove.bg. I hope you enjoy my slideshow of places that give me joy.

In this term our value is peace and joy. We have been learning and making posters about it.

Peace and Joy means helping others and being kind to loved. ones and others.

My rule for creation

In R.E. we are learning about God and God's creation. Pope Francis calls us to take care for  God's creation. Here is my one rule for the world so we can care for creation.

My Justice and Fairness word cloud

Today we have been creating a Word Cloud on Fairness and Justice. We used a picture of ourselves to create the word cloud.

Today I created a word cloud on WordArt.com. Our model word was Share so we wrote stuff that is the same as share.

Today I created a word cloud. I used WordArt.com to make my word cloud.We put our words in the word cloud. My word cloud is on the word Create.

Last week we learnt how to use the Word Cloud website called Word Art.com

Last monday we brainstormed what our learning model means.We came up with lots of words that mean the same as learn. Here is my word cloud. 

Lyrissa Love and Service

In Room 2 we created a poster about Love and service.We created it for our school value.We added some pictures to show what it looks like.Also we add some words as well here's one Love and service is when you give up your time to help someone else. 

My Nana

My Nana is nice. My Nana is always good at listening. She also
is a brilliant cook. She helps out with the most of cleaning. Nana
gives me some ice-cream and a little bit of chocolate for dessert.
She is kind and gentle and loves me she also puts a movie on
for us to have a nice rest for the night. My Nana also lets us play
outside for an hour or two. But the most thing about her is that
I love her and I know she loves me.  

In Room 2 we have been learning about unsung heroes in our
families. In my family my unsung hero is my Nana.

All About Me

Hi my name is Lyrissa. I have three brothers and two sisters not including me. I am the second oldest. I go to Christ the King School. I am a New Zealand born Samoan. My favourite thing about school is when we do art because you get to be creative. I am in year four and I am 9 years old. My Mum and Dad are Samoan. I like to help friends when needed and play with them. I like making them happy and excited. I am fun to be around.    I enjoy doing art and some maths. I also enjoy playing with family and friends.

I’m good at writing because I like expressing my ideas.

My challenges for this year are to listen carefully to instructions and to finish my work on time.

The goals for this year are to finish my work on time and to be the best that I can be.   

I would like to share art, stories and information about myself on my blog. I would also like to share what I’ve been doing at school.

My achievements are learning to dance in a Samoan way and to speak Samoan. I can talk  Samoan to my family.
